  • Evaluation

    Evaluation duration varies depending on each individual. Our evaluations may consist of initial caregiver interview, detailed history, dynamic assessment, a formal assessment, school observation + teacher interview, speech/ language sample, detailed report with recommendations, and a final parent meeting to discuss results and intervention options.

  • Intervention

    An individualized intervention plan includes 50 minute therapy sessions with frequency and duration to be determined by the individuals needs.

Areas of Treatment

If your child doesn’t quite fit into one category, no need to worry, very few people do. During our free 15- minute consultation we can discuss different areas of possible treatment.

  • Someone with motor speech disorders may also have difficulty with motor planning or muscle tone. This includes dysarthria and apraxia.

  • Cognitive therapy focuses on many areas such as orientation, memory, initiation, planning, organization, information processing, problem solving, and reasoning. This type of treatment is appropriate for someone who has had a brain injury.

  • Aphasia manifests in many different ways. You may have trouble using language, understanding language, reading, or writing. This can be caused by any changes or injury to the brain.

  • Treatment in this area focuses on eliminating sound pattern productions that affect intelligibility.

    Some examples are "dog" being said as "gog" or "cat" being said as "tat".

  • This area of treatment is for individuals ages birth-3 years old who are having difficulty communicating their wants and needs. Additionally, this is appropriate for children who may be at risk for a speech and language delay.

    This treatment focuses on caregiver education and intensive speech and language stimulation with some traditional articulation and language treatment.

  • Someone who would benefit from this type of therapy may have difficulty using or understanding language that may or may not be related to a change or injury to the brain.

    This treatment would also be beneficial for individuals who have a language delay.

  • Articulation therapy focuses on improving the pronunciation of sounds and words so your message is clear and understood.

    This treatment would also be beneficial for individuals who have a speech delay.

  • Someone who would benefit from this type of therapy may have difficulty reading others body language, having conversations, understanding sarcasm or different expressions.

  • This treatment focuses on increasing speech intelligibility so the individuals message is clear and understood.

    This is appropriate for children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial differences.

  • This therapy is appropriate for individuals with a diagnosed hearing loss. Therapy focuses on parent education, auditory perception, visual cues, speech, language, communication management and more.
